This painting took what felt like eons to complete. It began as part of the Matchbox Collective live painting project London Made Me, organized by the Mayor of London. The participants sold their artworks as Christmas gifts on Carnaby Street, and my painting was one of the pieces available in the shop.
Later exhibited in the Coopeland Park Gallery during the WOM - female street art collective exhibition. The exhibition was highlighting the diversity in the female art on the streets of London
Throughout the process, I changed the concept at least six times and even managed to spray paint the floor of my bathroom in the process!
When I look at the final result, I see something mechanical, yet softened by the choice of colors. The various shades of white add depth to the composition, while the squares and lines in yellow, green, and pink bring a sense of joy and playfulness.
