Bauhaus inspired
Davide was one of my first and favorite clients. We both shared a love for music and Bauhaus. With a vision to open a creative studio, CASA (now known as Tooting Film Studios), he wanted the entire staircase painted in a vibrant, colorful design.
Bauhaus is a style characterised by straight lines, stripes, circles, triangles and squares. I believe it creates a sense of balance, while the typical Bauhaus colors—vibrant and strong—bring a mix of harmony and boldness. This combination of structure and energy was exactly what we aimed for.
The project began with a design that, as usual, went through a few rounds of feedback and revisions. The painting process itself took eight days to complete.

What is Bauhaus interior design style?
Bauhaus is an art form created between 1919 to 1933. It is abstract style, full of angular and geometric forms. Despite being over 100 years old Bauhaus interior design feels still very fresh and modern.

It is a clean and minimalistic art focusing on interaction between shapes and colours and bauhaus patterns.

For this project the color palette was already decided, as the studio had established its visual identity. We worked on existing Bauhaus images. This allowed me to focus on creating a design that would not only complement the studio's branding but also enhance the experience of anyone who walked through the space. The staircase became a central feature, transforming a simple passageway into a visually stimulating experience. Working with Davide was a joy, as our shared passions made the collaboration feel both natural and inspiring. The final result was a bold and dynamic staircase that captured the creative spirit of CASA.
